About the company

Kavli was introduced to Sweden via the Norwegian market during the mid‑20th century, with tube‑packed cheese spreads as the main product concept. The products were adapted to Swedish consumer preferences and established a strong position in the Swedish grocery market.

Kavli Sweden operates two production sites in Sweden, located in Älvsjö (Stockholm) and Eslöv (Skåne). The factory in Älvsjö also serves as the company’s Swedish headquarters.

Cheese spreads remain the core category for Kavli Sweden, but the company also markets a broader portfolio that includes mustards, sauces and dressings, and vinegar. Well‑known Swedish brands in the portfolio include Johnny’s, Eriks, Hultbergs, Västerviks Senap, and Perstorp Ättika.

Today, Kavli Sweden is an established food producer in Sweden, with operations focused on branded products for the retail market and continued development of its product range.
