Welcome to O. Kavli AS

Kavli was founded in Bergen by Olav Kavli in 1893. Kavli is one of Norway's largest and most international food and drinks producers. O. Kavli A/S in Norway comprise of a production and administration site in Bergen, and a production site at Barkåker outside Tønsberg.

The Group's founder Olav Kavli invented Primula, the world's first durable cheese spread, in 1924. Cheese spread remains an important product for Kavli alongside cod roe cream (caviar), mayonnaise, biscuits, crispbread and flatbread.

The Bergen site produces, cheese spread (both tubes and tubs), sliced cheese, as well as HaPå, caviar and mayonnaise. Barkåker produces the hard bread categories.

O. Kavli AS is one of two companies in Kavli Norway. The other is Q-Meieriene AS.
