•  Kavli was founded in Bergen in 1893 by Olav Kavli. 
    
• O. Kavli AS in Denmark has sales- and administration office in Hvidovre just outside Copenhagen. The manufacturing facilities is located in Ringkøbing.
   
• The company traded in 2010 for approx. DKK 284 million. and had approx. 85 employees.

Production in Denmark
In 1935 Olav Kavli set up a small cheese factory on Bornholm. Unfortunately, the factory suffered a bomb attack in the last days of the war in 1945 and was not restored after the war. Instead came Knut Kavli in contact with Otto Mønsted A/S in Copenhagen and together they founded two companies in 1948, a factory in Glamsbjerg Fyn, which developed a large-scale production of margarine and began to work their way into foreign markets, particularly Britain and Belgium.

The cooperation with Otto Mønsted lasted until 1968 when it ended and Kavli Company established O. Kavli A/S in Denmark.

O. Kavli A/S started as a sales company, and launched FUN lemonade on the Danish market in 1970 and also aquired a number of food agencies in the coming years.

In 2003 O. Kavli A/S bought the mulled wine labeled "Blomberg's" and the following year we opened a factory in Hvidovre, which included both the production of juice, mulled wine and sauces. In 2008 O. Kavli A / S bought the company Pebas A/S, including known Grønne Garden, SCOOP Slush-ice and concentrates. During 2009 the 2 companies where merged together and all production was located in Ringkøbing. Sales and administration remained in both Hvidovre and Ringkøbing.
